Adayanci Pérez is one of more than 2,500 children who were separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border as part of the 'Zero Tolerance' policy championed by Donald Trump in 2018. This 6-year-old Guatemalan girl was away from her family for three and a half months. Before going back to Guatemala, she was diagnosed with acute trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. She was never the same when she returned.
